My name is Ivonne Hartono, an international first generation college student from Indonesia. Currently, I am pursuing my degree in Bacehlor of Computer Science at University of California, Irvine with a predicted graduation date of June 2025.

Heartstone Academy is a group passion project under the UC Irvine Video Game Development Club for the 2024 Spring submission. Under the leadership of Ziqing Li, I worked within the team with fellow undergraduate students to create an intruiging game with appealing visuals, audio, and story. Being one of the only 2 programmers wtihin the team posed a challenge: large workloads while juggling between works and school. Despite the challenges, we manage to create finish the demo of the game in around 7 weeks.

The game is created using the Ren'Py programming language--a functional programming language made in Python. Using the program, we are able to integrate various media: visual, textual, and audio.

Despite the challenges that we faced as a team, we manage to prevails. In the future, it is possible to experiment with intergration of Live2D--an extension that will allow animation of 2D animation--to improve user experience. It is possible to also create records of images that the user had encounter in game.

As a side passion project, I published a short story with the help of Echolalia Undergraduate Journal at University of California Irvine. The short story is part of Echolalia's second published volume with the main topic of Reminisence.

Menonnite Ambassador Youth Leadership Development Program is a summer internship program held by Mosaic Mennonite Conference. They distributed funds to 10 youth to create a community project under supervision. My project to create a youth group within my church was accepted and I am now a participant of the program.

In the small Indonesian Christian community, I am involved in its ministry. On a weekly basis, I play the piano. Aside from that, I collaborate with the Youth Pastor every first and third week to lead a small group of youth in a discussion. Ocassionally, I organize events and documentations that the church has.
